Boswellia carterii (Beeyo) — Wholesale Frankincense
Boswellia sacra (commonly traded as Boswellia carterii) — wholesale supply from Somalia
Beeyo is a classic olibanum of the fragrance industry — resinous, balsamic and faintly sweet. Boswellia sacra (traded as carterii) contains alpha-pinene and boswellic acids, which is why it is widely used across both fine fragrance and the wellness and extract industries. Our lots are sorted into colour classes before offer.

Buyer questions
Beeyo — frequently asked
What is Beeyo frankincense?
Beeyo is the Somali trade name for the frankincense whose accepted botanical name is Boswellia sacra, very commonly traded under the synonym Boswellia carterii (or carteri). It is a widely used olibanum in perfumery, cosmetics and the essential-oil trade.
How is Beeyo graded?
We sort Beeyo into Select (A), First (B) and Distillation (C) by tear size, colour and clarity against our indicative standard, with tolerances confirmed per lot.
Does Beeyo contain boswellic acids?
Yes. Unlike Maydi, Boswellia sacra (carterii) contains boswellic acids, which is why it is often selected for extract and wellness applications in addition to fragrance and distillation.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
Both are confirmed on enquiry, as they depend on grade, packaging, current stock and destination. Representative samples are available.
Which Incoterms do you offer?
FOB, CIF or DAP by agreement under Incoterms 2020. The applicable shipment documentation is confirmed during quotation.
Can you support consistent quality across shipments?
We grade against an indicative written standard and confirm each lot against a pre-shipment sample, which supports batch-to-batch consistency. Final specifications are set in the commercial agreement.
